Activities, Workshops and Shows
Whether you're attending one of the official competitions at Noteworthy Farm or are justing visiting and want to explore some of the various activities that dog owners can participate in with their 4 legged companion, there's always something to do! Rent pool time to practice dock diving with your dog, practice chase ability or sprinter, train in the obedience or rally ring or learn to teach your dog some new tricks.
Handling
Confirmation show handling classes and coaching are available. Having your show dog trained for the ring is way more than half the battle. Work on all aspects of presentation: four-square stack; free stack; baiting; gaiting; etc..
Obedience
Obedience trials in Canada test a dog’s training, precision, and teamwork with their handler through structured exercises such as heeling, recalls, stays, and retrieves. Sanctioned by organizations like the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), these events allow teams to earn qualifying scores toward official titles while showcasing skill, control, and sportsmanship.
Rally
Rally obedience in Canada is a fun, interactive dog sport where handlers guide their dogs through a course of numbered signs that indicate specific exercises. Sanctioned by organizations such as the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), Rally emphasizes teamwork, communication, and positive handling while allowing teams to earn qualifying scores toward official titles.
Sprinter/Chase Ability/Lure Coursing
Noteworthy Farm offers training in lure coursing, Chase Ability, and the ever-popular Sprinter. Sprinter is essentially a 100-yard dash for dogs, where each dog runs individually and competes against the clock. Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) championship titles are available to dogs that successfully participate.
Dock Diving - NADD
Dock diving is quickly becoming one of the most popular canine performance sports and is open to dogs of all breeds and skill levels who enjoy water and retrieving. As a NADD-approved facility, we offer dock diving training as well as pool rentals. Sessions are available to anyone and can be arranged for campers and non-campers alike for an additional fee
